What you'll do
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle- Play a key role in the setup and scaling of HR operations in India, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with global standards.
- Manage day-to-day HR administrative operations, ensuring smooth processes for employees across various countries in the APAC region (primarily India, with potential to expand to other countries based on experience).
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities, including end-to-end employee exit management, employee consultations, and mutual agreement processes where required.
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of employee data and digital personnel files in the HRIS.
- Prepare employment documents, including offer letters, addendums, certificates, and other administrative correspondence.
- Ensure timely, professional, and employee-centric HR communication at all stages of the employee lifecycle.
Benefits & Employee Administration- Coordinate country-specific benefits, such as meal vouchers, transportation reimbursements, , and other local schemes.
- Administer absences and sickness cases, working closely with insurance providers and relevant partners.
- Coordinate visa and immigration processes as needed for employees in various locations.
Policies, Processes & Tools- Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure they comply with local labor laws while also aligning with internal standards and global HR strategies.
- Ensure all HR activities adhere to data privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness, particularly in a cross-country, multi-lingual environment.
- Streamline and harmonize HR workflows across multiple countries, as applicable.
- Participate in the implementation or optimization of HR tools and systems to enhance operational performance.
Other Responsibilities- Participate actively in employee relations committees or forums as applicable in India and other countries.
- Support additional cross-functional HR projects as needed, fostering collaboration across teams.
Why we should decide on you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Administration, HR, or Business.
- At least 5 years of experience in HR operations, ideally in an international environment, including hands-on experience in setting up, standardizing, or scaling HR processes within organizations of more than 100 employees.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and labor regulations, particularly in India; familiarity with regulations in other countries (e.g., Singapore, Australia, Thailand, etc.) is a plus.
- Exposure to payroll processes, especially in India, and knowledge of payroll systems in other countries is an asset.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, etc.) is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems is appreciated.
- Dynamic, proactive, organized, and comfortable handling confidential information.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
