Discover how AFA modernized its regulatory infrastructure, reduced IT burden, and accelerated reporting.

The impact of AFA’s implementation of Regnology Supervisory Hub (RSH) hosted on Rcloud was immediate and measurable. The authority now benefits from a centralized platform that breaks down data silos, integrates national and cross-border reporting and supports rapid innovation at the pace of regulatory change.

  • Full go-live in just 5 months (vs. typical 24 months)
  • New report creation time reduced from weeks to days
  • Significant reduction in IT resource consumption
  • Streamlined national and European supervision
  • Future-proof infrastructure ready for expansion

Case overview

The Andorran Financial Authority (AFA) is responsible for regulating Andorra’s financial sector, aligning with pan-European standards despite being outside the EU.

In recent years, the AFA has invested considerable efforts to keep pace with growing data volumes and the rising complexity of reporting requirements, prompting the regulator to explore ways to modernize its supervisory infrastructure.

Faced with aging legacy systems, increasing data complexity, and limited internal resources, AFA needed a scalable, cloud-native solution to meet both national and European supervisory demands.

AFA selected RSH hosted on Rcloud to overhaul its supervisory operations.

Moving to Regnology’s cloud-native platform has been a pivotal step in our modernization journey. [...] We’ve reduced infrastructure costs, streamlined reporting, and manage both our national and European supervisory processes with far greater efficiency.
