The complexity of the reporting obligation under Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) and hard deadlines pose a significant challenge for market players. The institutions with operation in the UK also have to deal with the uncertainty related to Brexit. In response to this, on May 23, 2019 we arranged a live webinar to host a forum for experts in the transaction-based reporting field to address some of the transaction reporting challenges the industry is facing and to provide guidance on current best practices.

Over the course of a 45-minute panel discussion, the experts addressed the following key topics:

  • The industry readiness for SFTR reporting and implementation challenges
  • Strategic view on transaction-based reporting: SFTRstandalone implementation or as a part of an overall transaction reporting strategy
  • Pre-Matching: Dream or reality?
  • Buy or build? Pros and Cons of using a vendor solution vs. inhouse development
  • The impact of Brexit on transaction-based reporting (EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR)
