What you'll do
As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the agile development cycle for our Reg-Reporting Hub (RRH) product development center In Pune, India. This techno-functional role involves analyzing international banking regulations and translating them into functional specifications and software solutions. This entails:
- Analyze regulations and business/client requirements from national and international banking authorities.
- Translate regulations into functional specifications including Data Gap Analysis, Data Modelling & Mapping, and Business/Validation rules.
- Perform functional implementations using SQL, e.g. on decision tables or allocation rules.
- Create and validate functional scenarios & test data, conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and perform regression testing.
- Develop a clear understanding of product roadmaps through interaction with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts.
- Maintain detailed end-user documentation and internal technical-functional guides.
- Provide support for customer projects and resolve functional tickets.
- Join a dynamic team and collaborate with national and international colleagues at all levels and skills within the organization
Why we should decide on you
- Experience: 5-8 years in a Bank, Financial Institution, or IT firm within banking domain focusing on regulatory frameworks and reporting standards.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics or Charted Accountants/ICWA preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and reporting is highly valued.
- Technical Affinity: Familiarity with XML, XBRL, JSON, and MS Excel/Access would be a plus.
- Domain Knowledge: Expert knowledge of Banking Products, Financial Instruments, and Financial Markets.
- Accounting: Good understanding of Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and basic accounting concepts would be a plus.
- Risk Exposure: Knowledge of Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, and Basel accords would be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills — able to engage and influence stakeholders across business, compliance, and technical teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills; able to translate complex regulations into practical solutions.
- Hands-on experience working within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) project environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
