Speakers, including transaction reporting experts from UnaVista / LSEG and TRADEcho / LSEG as well as Alexander Becht, Product Manager for Abacus Transactions at Regnology, discussed the following topics:
Alexander Becht has worked for Regnology in Frankfurt am Main since 2013. In his role as manager, he focuses on the functional development of the standard reporting software ABACUS/Transactions, which covers transaction-based reporting according to EMIR, MiFIR, MMSR and SFTR. In addition, he supports Abacus customers in procedural, operational and strategic topics regarding compliance with reporting obligations. Before joining Regnology, Alexander Becht worked in the statistics department of the Deutsche Bundesbank. He holds a (master’s) degree in economics from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg.
Marcus has spent 17 years working within the software firms servicing clients in the financial services industry, operating throughout a variety of roles from implementation, consultancy and product management. Marcus started his career at Accurate Software, before moving to Checkfree and then Fiserv, where he held a variety of global responsibilities culminating in Presales covering the EMEA region. Upon joining the LSEG in 2007, Marcus’ global software experience quickly helped him to establish a pivotal role heading up the UnaVista Pre-Sales function. Acting as a conduit between the business development and product teams, Marcus’ experience in reconciliation, matching and regulations assisted the organisation in expanding out the UnaVista offering through enhanced reconciliation capabilities, MiFID transaction reporting and now EMIR, and acting as a “voice of the customer” internally, he ensures that UnaVista solutions are designed and configured to meet market demands.
Aanya is a Senior Business Development Manager in Capital Markets at the London Stock Exchange Group, primarily focused on the TRADEcho suite of services; liaising directly with the regulators and a range of buy and sell-side clients to help meet their trade reporting obligations under MiFID II.
Alison Shanks is a Pre-Sales Consultant for UnaVista, LSEG’s award winning regulatory reporting platform. In this role, Alison assists firms with their understanding and interpretation of multiple global regulations, and their business and technical integration requirements to meet their regulatory reporting obligations. Prior to joining LSEG in April 2017, Alison held product and support roles at FactSet, Fidessa and Iress. Her extensive experience with front office buy- and sell-side trading platforms, and deep knowledge of MiFID II, EMIR and SFTR reporting, quickly helped her to establish a pivotal role in assisting UnaVista clients in achieving best in class solutions for their business needs.
