What you'll do

As FP&A Data Analyst / Engineer your role will be to work with the Head of FP&A to intelligently interpret disparate
 forms of financial data and turn them into insights that can be used to improve the operating model within finance, as well as the business as a whole.  
You will be expected to solve business problems, as well as identify opportunities for growth, through data-driven        analysis & deliveries. 
Your tasks as an FP&A Data Analyst / Engineer include:
  • Designing and building financial dashboards and reporting tools on Power BI, using subject matter experts both within finance and across the business as a whole.  On behalf of finance, you will be responsible for partnering with functional groups across the organisation to provide insightful dashboards and reports. These outputs will be       used to report to the board, as well as for heads of functional groups to self-serve as appropriate.
  • You will be expected to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of a data-driven delivery; identifying, analysing, transforming, extracting and normalising data from multiple sources.  
  • You will build a complete BI solution for the whole group and have a leading voice on the meaning of the different kinds of data across all departments.

  • Ability to take ownership of financial data across the firm; defining appropriate processes and leading initiatives to ensure clear ownership and accountability
  • Exceptional stakeholder and project management skills.  Should be able to communicate (both verbally and in written format) about data to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SQL & Lake in order to extract, transform and load data into the data                architecture
  • Knowledge of Database Management, data modelling, and warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of developing SQL scripts, functions, views
